Housing sales in the region dropped 12.6 per cent in July compared to the same month in 2025, but the market remains steady, says the head of the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors.

Sales dropped to 470 in July from 538 in July 2025. And while prices decreased by just under seven per cent in the same time period, year-to-date housing prices are down just 3.3 per cent, indicating relatively stable market, said Alyssa Ismail.
“Depending on what price point you’re shopping in, it’s not that crazy of a swing,” she said of the sales drop in July. “We’ll see sales fluctuate like that month over month, all the time.”
