The latest action in the West Lancashire League saw largely positive results for all of the local teams on what proved to be a busy weekend across the respective divisions.
Milnthorpe Corinthians impressed with a commanding 6-0 win at CMB in the West Lancashire League Premier Division.
Corinthians, on the back of their 4-2 win against Kendal County, dominated and were 2-0 up at half time following Reece Pearce's penalty on 34 minutes and Alex Jackson's goal two minutes later.
However, Milnthorpe Corinthians pushed on in the second half after Zach Clark scored the team's third goal two minutes into the second half before a second from Pearce and an own goal saw Corinthians go 5-0 up.
And Clark continued the scoring after 89 minutes as Milnthorpe continue to climb up the league table.
Kendal County bounced back from two straight defeats with an important 4-2 win against Haslingden St Marys.
The Claret and Blues were 1-0 up after ten minutes when Ryan Close scored, although the lead lasted two minutes before Archie Stansfield equalised for the visitors.
Kendal regained the lead on 30 minutes with Ryan Close scoring his second while Lewis Casson extended the home team's advantage seven minutes into the second half.
And Close completed his hat-trick after 75 minutes before Jack Greenwood scored a consolation for the visitors with ten minutes left in the game.
In Division One, Carnforth Rangers defeated Askam United 3-1 where Ellis Rucastle opened the scoring on 18 minutes while Cameron Holmes extended the home team's advantage scoring a penalty on the stroke of half time.
Jack Cairns pulled a goal back for Askam United after 70 minutes, while Mani Davidson sealed the three points for the hosts scoring after 87 minutes.
Kendal United fell to a second consecutive home defeat losing 3-1 to Turton, Jordan Shannon opened the scoring for the visitors after 3 minutes.
However, Tommy Varey equalised on 22 minutes before Shannon's second goal on 69 minutes and Jack Burke's strike six minutes later saw Kendal crash to defeat.
And in Reserve Division One, Carnforth Rangers Reserves won 3-0 at Tempest United Reserves, Ricardo Mwale opened the scoring five minutes before half time.
Goals late into the second half from Joel Davidson and Will Mead saw Carnforth ease to victory as they continued to lead the way at the top of the division.
