Lila Moss added a sultry lace twist to her sartorial agenda last night. The model attended the YSL Beauty Block Party London Edition on September 3 at Rough Trade East on Brick Lane.
The 23-year-old oozed dark glamour in a semi-sheer crop top that was adorned with black lace detailing. The garment featured delicate straps with a sleeveless design and lace-trimmed hem. Lila teamed the opaque look with simple black pants.
Lila's luscious blonde locks were styled into soft waves in a middle parting while her makeup was left natural and radiant, courtesy of a rosy cheek and a pink-stained lip.
Following YSL Beauty Block Parties across Madrid, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil and France, September 3 saw the celebration arrive in East London. For its UK edition, YSL Beauty merged its party format with Black Opium Pink Glaze, the latest fragrance launch from the brand.
The night blended grunge with high fashion, and there was a chic all-black dress code. The space echoed with vocals from British songstress Lola Young, alongside DJ sets by Lulah Francis and Chloe Caillet. A custom pink pool table and late-night fish and chips set the tone, while the sensory journey centered on an exclusive cocktail station serving espresso-infused drinks that mirrored the fragrance’s rich, dark coffee notes.
Black Opium Pink Glaze Eau De Parfum launched last month as the brand's latest sensual, yet sweet, offering. The original coffee-floral scent was reimagined with a 100% natural extracted strawberry note. This top note is then infused with a heart of jasmine, before amber woods add an after-dark warmth. Housed in a sculptural square bottle with a rich, plum-purple gradient and a circular black cap, the design is anchored by an iconic logo emblem at the center.
Lila is one of YSL's Beauty Ambassadors. The model previously opened up to L'Officiele about her approach to makeup and her collaboration with the brand. "I think the main lesson I’ve learnt is that there is no perfection with makeup, and it’s more about going with what feels right. Sometimes I’m doing my makeup and end up with a happy mistake that’s worked out. Going with the flow and not taking it too seriously is my favorite way to think about it," she shared.
"I like to keep it really simple, day to day," she explained of her makeup routine. "Touche éclat under the eyes, a little bit of mascara and bronzer, and a touch of blush. The new YSL Beauty lip liners are really great for a natural look, too."
Lila continued: "I think my relationship with makeup has become less intimidating. I’ve found what I like and how I like to use it, rather than going in blindly and experimenting a lot with things and not knowing how to achieve the look I wanted. A beauty trend from that era that I think is slowly making a comeback is highlighter. It used to be powder, and now it’s more dewy and creamy, but I definitely think we’ll be seeing more of that shine."
