Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Iceflake Studios have announced cozy, customizable city builder, LEGO Skylines, for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

“Most of us at Iceflake grew up building LEGO sets, and we’ve carried that passion with us to this day,” said Iceflake Studios co-founder and game director Lasse Liljedahl. “As huge fans, we were incredibly excited to get the opportunity to combine our creative drive with everything we’ve learned over the years building deep management and simulation games. With LEGO Skylines, we want to turn city building into a more personal experience, where only your imagination limits what kind of cities you can build. We can’t wait to see how players bring their dreams to life in it.”

LEGO Group senior vice president and global head of games Fredrik Loving added, “Building and creativity have always been at the heart of the LEGO experience, but LEGO Skylines takes us into completely new territory. Together with Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios, we have brought the LEGO experience to one of the world’s most beloved gaming genres. From the beginning, our ambition wasn’t just to make a LEGO city-builder, it was to create a game that is considered among the best in the genre. Whether players dream of building a bustling metropolis, a quirky seaside town, or something nobody has imagined before, LEGO Skylines gives them the creative freedom and depth to make it happen.”

Read details on the game below:

Build what only you can in LEGO Skylines. In this cozy, customizable city-builder, your choices bring a living, breathing metropolis to life. Go big or obsess over the details. No instructions. Unlimited space. And there’s just one rule. Make it yours.

Build a City Where Everything Just Clicks

Create a city like no other in LEGO Skylines. It’s a city-builder you pick up for five minutes and suddenly it’s tomorrow. Seriously, it happens. Build whatever pops into your head or get lost in the details. What happens next is up to you. Make it beautiful. Make it weird. Make it yours.

Cover the basics like electricity, food, and water. Then make it a place your citizens will love. Give them homes that one-up the neighbors. Good jobs. Great parks. Donut shops on every corner because that would be awesome. A frankly absurd amount of buildings, decorations, and other cool stuff (customization stuff) will make it easy to create a city that’s got your fingerprints all over it.

LEGO Skylines puts you in charge of, well, everything. Remember hospitals to keep everyone in one piece. Wheat for the donuts. Garbage collection, sewage, and all the other things that make a city click. How it all comes together is up to you. So stick your hard hat on and greenlight your weirdest ideas. Tweak one thing more times than you’d admit. And let yourself enjoy a little just-for-fun fun. It’s about the satisfaction of putting everything just where you want it. Which is, of course, exactly where it belongs.
