The big PS5 exclusive this fall is Marvel’s Wolverine. It’s Insomniac Studios’ follow-up to the excellent (and massively successful) Spider-Man games, and it promises to be a bloody good time. To go along with the game, Sony is releasing a series of limited-edition Marvel’s Wolverine-themed PS5 hardware. Among IGN readers, by far the most popular item has been the Battle Yellow DualSense Wireless Controller. And while preorders have sold out at some retailers, it’s still available at most of them (see it at Amazon). It costs $89.99 and is set to release on September 15, the same day as the game.

Functionally, Marvel’s Wolverine Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller is a standard PS5 controller. What makes it stand out is the design, which makes it look like Wolverine got mad while playing Fortnite and attacked the thing. It features three jagged claw marks across the face of the controller. The marks are vibrant yellow, set against the black of the grips and touchpad. It looks fierce.

The bottom of the controller is also yellow, as are the shapes on the face buttons and the tiny arrows on the D-pad. On the left and right grips you’ll also find gray scuff marks that add to the battle-damage effect. Overall, it’s one of the coolest PS5 controller designs yet — and there have been a lot.

The controller actually comes in two variations. There’s a “Battle Yellow” one that’s bright and bold. Then there’s an “Adamantium” white one that features the same scuffed-and-clawed design, but with metallic white to accent the black, making it somewhat less flashy. The Adamantium white one was a PlayStation Direct exclusive, and it has, unfortunately, sold out.

Both designs also have matching console covers you can buy separately, though some of those have sold out as well (the Battle Yellow PS5 slim console cover is still in stock at PS Direct). It’s possible PS Direct will get more in stock before launch, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. If you want any of these items, you’d be wise to make your purchase sooner than later.
