"Dry Spell," the lead single from Kacey Musgraves's latest album Middle of Nowhere — and one of Exclaim!'s favourite songs of 2026 so far — has a Sabrina Carpenter-level of Looney Tunes horniness to it. Ever the philanthropist, the singer-songwriter is trying to prevent the events that led to that song's composition from ever happening again by teaming up with a wellness brand to launch her very own lube.

In collaboration with Medicine Mamma, Musgraves has introduced Drought Drops, a take on the company's best-selling lubricant, Intimate Glide. Made with organic aloe, the formula is pH-balanced and compatible with latex condoms, as well as formulated without hormones, phthalates, parabens, fragrance, petroleum, dyes or soy.

"Kacey has a unique ability to make deeply personal conversations feel universal, bringing honesty, humility and even a little humour to topics that are often left unsaid. Those same values have been at the heart of Medicine Mama since Day One," said Dr. Clare Bertucio, chief executive officer and founding chief medical officer of Medicine Mama. "Together, we're helping make intimate wellness feel less stigmatized, more approachable and maybe even a little more fun. We couldn't imagine a better partner for this collaboration."

The special-edition product upgrades Medicine Mamma's aubergine-coloured packaging with pink cursive branding, and comes with a separate sticker sheet. Priced at $24.99 USD, the initial run of Drought Drops has already sold out, but you can pre-order to get in on the next shipment — expected September 1 — here.
