Sources have issued a warning that there's a "tsunami" hurtling toward President Donald Trump and the White House.
And they say that the president and his top White House staffers, as well as "fat and happy" Republicans, are "unprepared" to handle it.
"They're gonna have to staff up and staff up fast," one source told the Daily Mail.
Allies are worried that Trump isn't ready to deal with the possibility that the Democrats will grab control of the House or the Senate, or both, in this fall's midterm elections.
Should that happen, sources said that there would be an unprecedented level of "lawfare" aimed at Trump, his family members and his top staffers.
Probes of everything would be on the table, the Daily Mail said, including the Trump family's World Liberty Financial family crypto business, Trump's renovations of various Washington landmarks, the building of the White House ballroom, stock trades, immigration enforcement, the new Air Force One presidential jet, and the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
"They have no idea what's coming," one source told the Daily Mail.
The source predicted a "tsunami" of attorneys flooding Washington to take on the president should the Dems have a congressional majority.
"They're going to have to staff up and staff up fast," a source in the DC legal community said of the Trump White House.
"Democrats are very angry and agitated and Republicans are kind of fat and happy and complacent," Mike Davis of the conservative legal group Article III Project told the Daily Mail. "It's going to get ugly. I don't think Republicans in Congress understand what's coming."

Sources said that the point man for the White House efforts to defend Trump from the Dems will be incoming White House counsel Will Scharf, who takes over on Sept. 1 from David Warrington, who is leaving the administration.
Washington legal sources praised Scharf as "loyal," "well-liked," and "influential," but sounded unconvinced that the counsel's office will be ready for the coming battle.
"Scharf's an upgrade from Warrington but I just don't know if it's enough," one source close to the White House told the Daily Mail.
