Rockstar Games was already dealing with fresh GTA 6 footage spreading online just days before its big August 27 showcase. Now, another group has entered the picture, claiming it has access to a separate batch of internal development material.
A new set of Reddit posts spotted by Notebookcheck points to a second group, apparently unrelated to CyberLeek, claiming access to internal GTA 6 development material. Among the material being circulated is an unpublished screenshot said to come from an April 2026 build, alongside development files. If legitimate, that would make the material considerably newer than some of the GTA 6 footage already circulating online.
The group has reportedly shared development files, shader-related material, and what it says is evidence of an internal GTA 6 build. There have also been claims that the material is connected to Xbox development hardware, although conflicting reports suggest at least some of it may actually be running on a PC.
A Reddit post claims the group got access after phishing a Rockstar India employee, but there is currently no independent confirmation of that story. There is another reason to be careful. Some users have questioned whether parts of the material are genuinely new, arguing that files being passed around could have originated from GTA 6’s huge 2022 breach instead.
This latest episode joins an unusually long list of problems for Rockstar. Back in September 2022, more than 90 clips from an early GTA 6 build appeared online in one of the biggest leaks the gaming industry has seen. Then, in December 2023, the game’s first official trailer leaked hours early, forcing Rockstar to publish it ahead of schedule.
Things picked up again this month after Rockstar announced GTA VI: An Extended Look, which will premiere on Netflix before arriving on YouTube. Netflix Portugal later reportedly exposed placeholders suggesting the presentation could stretch across three episodes and more than an hour.
Days later, CyberLeek began releasing fresh gameplay footage showing Jason driving, fighting, and playing basketball. The group also circulated other alleged GTA 6 material as Rockstar moved closer to its official presentation.
Now, a second group claims it has access to a separate and potentially much newer batch of files. If the material checks out, Rockstar may be dealing with two GTA 6 leak sources at the same time, right before it gets the chance to show the game properly.
