How Our News and Research Work

Live source headlines

Configured RSS feeds are checked every minute. Some publishers block or delay responses. The last-check time is shown alongside live updates. A successful cycle does not mean every source supplied new news.

Article formats

Source briefs summarize a cited source. Analysis briefs provide concise interpretation. Research articles follow a fuller evidence-led process. These labels do not imply that all underlying claims have been independently confirmed.

Research workflow

Compare 3–5 independent publications; distinguish syndication from independent reporting; build a consensus timeline; compare differing frames and stakeholder perspectives; check primary documents and data; explain the background, benefits, risks, unresolved evidence and next milestones. Link material claims to their supporting sources.

Research drafts need source links and an editorial review before publication. A URL-count check is a completeness check, not automated fact verification. Short source briefs have a separate review path and are labeled accordingly. Trading/confidence badges are hidden unless a documented method is supplied.

One event, one category

The importer checks canonical titles and source URLs and stores identified duplicates against one record. Different wording can still require editorial comparison. Editors must update existing coverage of an event rather than publish the same event in another category.

Reading and corrections

Live headline panels update without reloading your article. Use Pause live updates to stop automatic changes. Read corrections or report an issue.
