The Dodge Durango has been around since 2011, but buyers can’t get enough of the three-row SUV. For 2027, it gets a new splash of color to keep things fresh; Dodge is introducing a new After Dark hue.

The new deep metallic blue exterior finish brings the number of available colors for its Hemi-powered three-row SUV to nine. The paint is available to order now for an additional $595.

According to Dodge, After Dark is designed to change character depending on the lighting. In direct sunlight, the metallic elements of the paint are more pronounced, while the darker base gives the Durango a more subdued appearance when the sun goes down.

The new color joins a growing palette that already includes Redeye, B5 Blue, Destroyer Grey, Green Machine, Night Moves, Pitch Black, Red Oxide, and White Knuckle. Redeye was added to the Durango lineup just last month, giving Dodge customers yet another way to personalize the aging SUV.

After Dark isn't limited to one particular Durango trim. It's available across the entire Hemi-powered lineup, including the 360-horsepower Durango GT, the 475-hp Durango R/T 392, and the 710-hp Durango SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak models.

On the Jailbreak model specifically, the new hue gives buyers even more ways to customize their absurd family SUV. Dodge says the addition of After Dark pushes the number of possible Jailbreak configurations beyond 16 million, which is a lot. As Dodge CEO Matt McAlear explains:

'Dodge customers don't blend in—and neither should their vehicles. You see that passion everywhere, from Roadkill Nights through Cruise Week, where bold color and personal expression take center stage. After Dark and new options like tinted dual stripes give our customers even more ways to build a Dodge with attitude, make it unmistakably their own and stand apart from everything else on the road.'

After Dark is part of a broader push by Dodge to give buyers more ways to make its performance models stand out. The company recently introduced new colors and appearance options for both the Durango and Charger, including Tinted Dual Stripes and additional exterior finishes.

The 2027 Dodge Durango with After Dark paint is available to order now for $595 extra across the Hemi-powered lineup.

Motor1’s Take: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Dodge’s new After Dark paint gives the Durango a subtle upgrade, giving buyers one more reason to take home the Hemi-powered three-row SUV.
