Cloudflare Kitesurf: AI agents browser tool on Cloudflare Workers for efficient, scalable automation tasks. Free beta available.

Cloudflare Kitesurf is a stateless, agent-first browser engine built to run entirely on Cloudflare Workers. It is designed specifically for AI agents and automated tasks, swapping traditional browser features for efficiency and scalability. Kitesurf was publicly announced in early August 2026 and is accessible through Browser Run as a free beta.

Kitesurf submits to Web Platform Tests (WPT), passing over 215,000 tests and adding dozens more each week. Core web functionalities like DOM, CSS, HTML, SVG, and XHR are well supported.

Kitesurf represents a shift in browser engineering, focusing on programs over people. For businesses building AI-driven tools, it offers lower infrastructure costs, reduced computational overhead, and compatibility with common agent tasks. While its design prioritizes stateless, isolated execution, decision-makers should carefully evaluate compatibility with specific workloads. Chromium-based alternatives are still essential for use cases requiring video, GPU features, long-lived sessions, or precise visual rendering.
