Addressing students on the concluding day of induction at DY Patil International University as chief guest, he encouraged students to remain curious and challenge conventional wisdom.

“Don’t be a passive consumer of information, ask better questions. India is becoming more digital, entrepreneurial and globally connected, while growing increasingly confident about its place in the world,” he said.

Referring to the vision of a developed India by 2047, Kansal said artificial intelligence may replace some jobs but would also create new opportunities and employment in the future.

“A new journey is beginning. You do not have to have your life figured out today,” he said.

Dr Manish Bhalla, Vice Chancellor, DYPIU said the university places strong emphasis on innovation and incubation.

DYPIU is the first private university to offer a BTech programme in semiconductor engineering and will be launching the School of Legal Studies, Governance and Public Policy from the current academic year.

The university also plans to introduce the School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the next academic year, he informed.
