IN-FORM Concord Rangers will be seeking a shock FA Cup success tomorrow.

The unbeaten Beach Boys host Isthmian Premier Division side Brentwood Town in a first qualifying round clash at the Aspect Arena.

And Concord captain Charlie Wardle is preparing himself for a tough but exciting test.

"We're all looking forward to the game on Saturday," said Wardle.

"The FA Cup is always special and it was good to draw a side like Brentwood.

"We know we're going in as underdogs due to the stature and quality that Brentwood possess.

"We know that they are a very, very good side that can move the ball very well so we're expecting a very hard battle against a very good side."

Concord currently sit fourth in the Isthmian North table with a game in hand on the three teams above them.

And Wardle is happy with the way things have been going.

"The start has been pleasing for everyone around the club," said Wardle.

"We knew that the hard work we put in during pre-season would give us an advantage going into the season.

"Partner that alongside the research Liam (Wilson) and Ricky (Modeste) do before games, we know what we need to do.

"But the good form I'd put down to the togetherness of the squad.

"It's a very special group that are all playing for each other to prove a point and it's helped elevate our performances."

Despite that, Concord had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Grays Athletic last time out.
