POSEYVILLE — It was dominance from start to finish in Poseyville.
North Posey football had no issue taking care of things against Tecumseh on August 28 to extend its record to 2-0. The game finished 48-14, ending with a running clock after a Cade Mauck rushing touchdown extended the Vikings' lead to 41.

After allowing 14 points in the first half in Week 1, North Posey coach Waylon Schenk was pleased with how his defense responded in the home opener.
"We did not come out last week and play that style of football," Schenk said. "We're trying to change things defensively. We had a pretty good night."
The Vikings defense was certainly the aggressor against the Braves. With the pressure being applied, Tecumseh found it difficult to sustain drives and build on its offensive showing in Week 1. The Braves, now 1-1, also dealt with self-inflicted errors like fumbled hand-offs and encroachment penalties.
Tempers began to rise as the game got out of hand. Still, North Posey maintained its composure and continued to deliver. Schenk said after having a habit of losing their edge when taking leads in the past, his group's growth showed in that regard against Tecumseh.
Braves coach Joey Paridaen was far from pleased with his team's performance. After the game, he urged his group to stop talking to referees after a few calls that the group felt could have gone in their favor.
"That's not why we lost," Paridaen said. "This doesn't define us."
Scoring for Tecumseh was quarterback Waylon Riddle on a goal line sneak. Then, with about 1:30 remaining in the game, Grant Nelson found the end zone on a pass from quarterback Brody Deal.
Paridaen also challenged his captains postgame. He reminded them that they were chosen for a reason, to take Week 2 as a learning lesson and use the week ahead to set the tone in preparation for South Spencer on September 4.
Paridaen believes Tecumseh will be ready in their return to Lynnville in Week 3.
North Posey's offense came out firing. Quarterback Carter Schickel delivered another strong performance with four touchdowns. Week 3 showcased the versatility of the Vikings' passing game as Schnickel would find Brody Fehn, Bret Buecher twice and Camden Clowders for touchdowns.
Mauck also found the end zone once before his late touchdown. He certainly built off his 141-yard game against Southridge.
"There's just so many options we have," Schickel said. "They can't guard us all. One night someone might go off, the other night it's someone else. It's just about being unselfish and being proud of your teammates."
