Sachin Siwach delivered a masterclass performance to clinch the gold medal in the 60kg men’s category at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow. This marked the first gold for India in men’s boxing at the multi-sport event this time around, and the 6th gold overall in boxing, thus extending an already set record.

Sachin Siwach, who was in phenomenal form throughout the CWG 2026, proved too strong for Namibia’s Tryagain Ndevelo in the highly anticipated final bout. Despite a deduction in points, the Indian pugilist went on to win the final by a split decision of 4-1.
