Emily Atack has ‘officially’ tied the knot with her husband Alistair Garner.

The Rivals and Inbetweeners star shared a series of snaps on her Instagram showing their wedding ceremony on this weekend’s sunny Saturday.

In a caption, the 36-year-old actress wrote: ‘Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends.

‘It was absolutely perfect. I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don’t we,’ she added, tagging her husband Garner’s Instgram account.

Atack is set to have a larger wedding with Garner in the coming weeks, as part of a three-day star-studded ceremony in Spain.

The selection of photos from the wedding day included her and her husband walking through a crowd of guests as they were showered in confetti.

Another showed the couple holding glasses of wine and posing in front of a car while laughing and smiling, while in the final image they were kissing.

The mother-of-one previously said she had been left ‘surprised’ by her friends’ responses to the decision to keep their nuptials child-free.

Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, she said: ‘We’re being kind to our friends and making sure that people don’t have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children.

‘I’m surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I’d get a lot of people kicking off.’

Earlier this year, Emily and her scientist partner relocated from North London to the countryside for their ‘dream home’.

They previously announced their engagement in July last year, sharing a photo cuddling, with the caption: ‘It’s Friday, I’m in love,’ alongside three ring emojis.

When sharing news of her son’s birth a year earlier, Atack posted on Instagram: ‘We have a beautiful son. Barney James Garner. All my dreams have come true.’

The pair have known each other since they were children, but reconnected in 2022. Garner is the son of Atack’s late uncle Dr Stephen Garner, who died that year from cancer.

When they started dating, the couple were reported to be step-cousins, but there is no blood relation between them.
