Delhi Laxmi Yojana Registration Process: The Delhi government has launched the “Delhi Laxmi Yojana” to empower women in the national capital to become financially independent. Under the scheme, the oldest female member of a family will receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the official portal for the Lakshmi Yojana, which has already begun accepting applications. Delhi Laxmi Yojana is a unique hybrid cash-transfer and savings scheme that offers two options for women:
Option 1 (Cash + FD): An amount of ₹1,000 will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary woman, while the remaining ₹1,500 will be invested in a ‘Fixed Deposit’ (FD) by the government.
Option 2 (Full FD): The beneficiary can choose to invest the entire ₹2,500 in a fixed deposit.
This FD will have a lock-in period of 3 years, on which the state government will provide sovereign guarantee.
Who can apply?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, women applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
Head of the Family: The applicant woman should be the senior most member of the family.
Age Limit: The age of the woman should be between 21 to 60 years.
Family Income: The total annual income of the family should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
Delhi Resident: The applicant, his/her spouse or either of his/her parents must be a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years.
Voter ID: The applicant must be a registered voter of Delhi.
Electricity Consumption: The annual electricity consumption of the family during the last 1 year should not exceed 2,400 units.
Who will not get the benefit?
Families who are income tax payers or file GST.
Any member of the family is a permanent/contract employee in a government job, public sector undertaking (PSU) or local body.
Those who have four wheeler.
The applicant woman should not have more than 3 children.
People with criminal records will not be eligible for the scheme.
Documents required for application
Proof of Identity and Address: Voter ID Card (Delhi) and Aadhar Card.
Passport Size Photograph and Signature: Clear photograph and signature of the applicant.
Recommendation Letter from MP or MLA: Signed recommendation/support letter from the Member of Parliament (MP) or MLA (MLA) of the area.
Proof of address/electricity consumption: Electricity bill or gas connection bill.
Age proof (any one): Birth certificate, 10th mark sheet, driving license, PAN card, voter ID or Aadhaar card.
Bank Account Details: Copy of bank passbook to receive the amount through DBT.
Up to 3 children • Age 21–60 years • No criminal record

Step 1: Visit the official website https://dly.delhi.gov.in and click on ‘Apply for Scheme’ followed by ‘Register Now’.
Step 2: Enter your personal information and basic details.
Step 3: Fill in the details of all the family members correctly.
Step 4: Enter your current bank account for money transfer.
Step 5: Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 6: Check the preview of the form carefully and submit it finally.
Step 7: Upload a copy of the recommendation signed by the regional MP or MLA.
Step 8: After completing the application, download the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for future reference.
