If you’ve had FOMO since Lestat took the Beacon Theater stage, fear not. AMC was recording the whole thing. Who knew? AMC+ announced The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE to premiere on the streamer August 23. And while it would be fun for One Night Only to be a readthrough of the dystopian sex farce starring our favorite vamp boyfriends, it’s actually a concert film.
For the beautifully unwell fans of this show, hopefully this will keep the bloodlust at bay until the new season, Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned comes to screens. Showrunner Rolin James is handing the reins over to Hannah Moscovitch for season 4, which will focus on Sheila Atim’s titular Queen Akasha. And if that goes well, why not a season 5 tackling The Tale of the Body Thief, then a season 6 where Lestat drinks Jesus’ blood and meets the devil? Let’s see how far this freak train can really go.
