TOKYO — CK Hutchison Holdings and CK Asset Holdings, the two flagship conglomerates of Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing's family, reported strong first-half earnings growth on Thursday, powering through geopolitical wrangling that stalled a planned sale global ports and led to it being "robbed" of Panama Canal assets.
