HSINCHU, Taiwan — TSMC suppliers Nichias and Gold Stone Development are building a plant in Taiwan for special plastic components critical to the chipmaking industry, in an effort to avoid supply chain disruptions that have hampered production expansions in the past few years, Nikkei Asia learned.
