In July 2026, members of the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) launched an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the City of Windsor.
Shortly before 10 p.m. on August 27, members of the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3500 block of Longfellow Avenue. Police say three suspects were located inside and arrested.
During a search of the residence, DIGS officers seized 123.2 grams of fentanyl, as well as eight cell phones, drug packaging materials, and a digital scale.
Three men, 27, 31 and 38, have each been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely fentanyl. The 38-year-old man was also charged with three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
