Two years after we bid farewell to Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, The Grand Tour is back.

Amazon Prime Video has shared the first teaser for the rebooted show and given audiences their first look at the new presenting trio.

Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman, and Thomas Holland (not that one) are in the driving seat this time around, but while it may have ‘new knobs’ it’s the ‘same show’.

As you might expect, then, the teaser promises plenty of motoring mayhem, stunts, and general hilarity.

Despite the absence of the Top Gear trio, the trailer seems to have gone down well on Instagram.

‘I’m here for fresh knobs,’ wrote waymoeuk, while mishaperiphery wrote, ‘This is gonna be incredible.’

‘Very open-minded for this new trio of knobs to make it their own,’ added keeping_a_lighthouse. ‘I think they will give it a bloody good go!!’

Even on Reddit, people were willing to give Francis, James and Thomas the benefit of the doubt.

‘They obviously have very big shoes to fill, but I’m very curious about this series,’ said Sand0rf.

‘Ok, that looks pretty awesome to be fair,’ added Norridge-Moel.

It was user Glorious-Basterd, however, who perhaps gave the trailer the most robust praise.

‘I’ve always been camp ‘TG/TGT is nothing without the original trio’, but I’m confident this new era is going to be great fun and worth tuning in for,’ they wrote.

‘Watching the trailer has solidified that for me. One reason being that Clarkson, May and Hammond called time on it themselves and with good reason, so unlike new Top Gear my disposition isn’t that I cynically wanted it to fail.

‘On top of that, I’ve been getting myself acquainted with Throttle House for the first time recently and very quickly became a huge fan. Most importantly though, Andy Wilman being involved is all that I needed to hear to know the series was in good hands.’
