Adelaide has ended the Western Bulldogs' season with a gutsy 22-point elimination final win after Sydney's stunning victory over Brisbane at the SCG
Earlier, the Swans overcame a tumultuous month and the loss of several key players to demolish Brisbane by 53 points in their SCG qualifying final.
Missing five of their best players to suspension, the Swans were not headed all day, as their forward had a day out against the Lions, winning 21.15 (141) to 13.10 (88).
Sydney coach Dean Cox said he was "lost for words" after the emphatic victory.
Logan McDonald kicked six, while Tom Papley and Charlie Curnow booted five goals each. The downside for Sydney, who now will play a home prelim in a fortnight's time, is the knee injury for captain Callum Mills that threatens to end his season.
In Adelaide, the Crows briefly let a 19-point three-quarter-time lead slip against the Bulldogs but rallied to complete a spirited 14.6 (90) to 9.14 (68) win.
