Tottenham and Everton are in advanced talks over two players – Iliman Ndiaye and Richarlison.
Spurs have approached Everton to sign winger N'Diaye, with Cody Gakpo likely to go to Manchester City if he leaves Liverpool.
Everton want to sign Richarlison and are believed to be willing to make him an attractive offer.
The fee would have to be right for Everton to sell Ndiaye, but he has rejected multiple new contract offers from the club.
He has also been on City's target list for a new forward.
Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi admitted on Saturday that Richarlison is one of three players who has asked to leave before the deadline.
