The girl group had to bow out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival August 27 after Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle. On August 29, Yoonchae Jeung, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendiel stopped by Irvine to give their regrets in person. “My ankle is on hiatus, but our hearts are definitely not,” Skiendiel said on stage.
The members of Katseye have been going through it lately. It was announced in February that Manon Bannerman would be taking a hiatus from the group for her mental and physical health. Then on August 7, Sofia Laforteza announced she was doing the same. And now Skiendiel’s ankle has suffered the same fate. It’s not yet known when anyone’s ankles will be returning to the group. Laforteza’s mother, Carla Guevara Laforteza, told Vogue Philippines that her daughter is “literally doing everything to get mentally well.” Mom says her burnout recovery regimen includes baking, painting, and going to Disneyland every day.
