Six changes have been confirmed for Thursday night’s First Qualifying Final between Fremantle and Hawthorn, with big-name Dockers locked in for returns.
Murphy Reid and Jye Amiss are back, with Justin Longmuir swinging five changes including four omissions.
Judd McVee, Tobyn Murray, Bailey Banfield and Chris Scerri have all been omitted, while Brennan Cox misses with his moderate calf strain.
McVee, who arrived as a trade recruit from Melbourne last off-season, has played 21 senior games for Fremantle this year but has been left out of Longmuir’s side to face Hawthorn.
He was also dropped for the Dockers’ Round 23 clash with Adelaide.
The travelling Hawks, meanwhile, have made just one change from the Round 24 side that beat up on West Coast, recalling Jack Ginnivan for Jack Dalton (omitted).
Crafty forward Ginnivan, who was held out against the Eagles due to back soreness, was always anticipated to be healthy for September.
Teams for the remaining three finals fixtures this weekend will be announced at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday evening.
