Andria Bartishvili has flown to London to undergo a medical and complete a move to Arsenal.
The teenager, who has agreed a transfer to north London in 2027, is currently playing for Erovnuli Liga club Iberia 1999 in his homeland, on loan from Kolkheti 1913.
The 17-year-old has reached a pre-agreement with the Premier League champions to join them once he turns 18, and he has previously been hailed as the ‘new Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’.
The forward confirmed that he was en route to the capital for his medical tests when he reposted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post on his story.
Romano had uploaded three photographs of Bartishvili arriving at the airport ahead of his flight to London.
The youngster is allowed to complete his medical and sign his contract now, despite the summer transfer window closing at 11pm BST on Tuesday, September 1.
The Gunners will not sign him officially until June next year, when he will be eligible to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The north Londoners enjoyed a quiet Deadline Day, with no incomings inbound, despite heavy links to Atletico Madrid’s wantaway striker Julian Alvarez.
The champions had sought to get their business done early, landing the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis, Ilan Meslier, and Piero Hincapie, whose loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen was turned permanent.
There were plentiful outgoings, with Gabriel Jesus completing a move to Barcelona, Fabio Vieira leaving for Hamburg, and Ethan Nwaneri being loaned to Borussia Dortmund in the final hours of the market.
They had followed Leandro Trossard, Christian Norgaard, Reiss Nelson and Jakub Kiwior out of the Emirates Stadium exit.
