A man in his 60s was in serious condition when he was transported to a hospital trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle in central Ottawa on Friday afternoon.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service reported that the collision occurred near the intersection of Bronson and Renfrew avenues, just south of the Highway 417 overpass, just after 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 14.
The Ottawa Police Service posted online that a temporary road closure was required while emergency services were on site, but the roadway was subsequently reopened.
