IndyCar events get back on track in Markham after Friday shutdown
David Malukas posted the fastest practice lap at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham.
Malukas put down a time of one minute 14.194 seconds in the second training session of the day. Qualifying will be in the evening.
Alex Palou had the second-best time in 1:14.560 and Dennis Hauger was third, going around the Markham downtown road course in 1:14.592
Organizers had to cancel the first day of track sessions because the course was not completed and had not undergone safety inspections.
First practice day at Ontario Honda Dealers Indy in Markham cancelled
It's the first year Markham has hosted the race after it moved from Toronto's Exhibition Place, where it had been held since its inaugural running in 1986.
Palou had the fastest time in the morning's first practice session. He made it around in 1:14.9915.
