Both companies say the popular Steam data-tracking site will keep its name, brand, and community
Nexus Mods has acquired SteamDB, the widely used Steam data-tracking site.
Both companies say SteamDB will continue to operate under its own name, brand, and community. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed publicly.
The move was announced September 2 in statements from SteamDB founder Pavel "xPaw" Djundik and Nexus Mods.
Djundik co-founded SteamDB in 2013 but said that maintaining the site had become "ever increasing self inflicted workload." While it is sustained largely by community donations, Djundik started looking for a partner in January.
"What mattered most to me was finding a team that understands what it means to be responsible for something the community depends on," he wrote at the time.
Nexus Mods was itself acquired by Chosen in June 2025 after founder Robin "Dark0ne" Scott said that for both "my and the community's best interest," the "time has come to step back from the day-to-day running of the site."
