Season 3 will make its highly anticipated comeback on August 19, with eight episodes being released in one go, with a fresh cast of hopeful singles all searching for lasting love in one of the most unusual formats on television.

For anyone unfamiliar with the show, the concept is simple but undeniably compelling. Contestants are placed in separate pods where they go on a string of blind dates, never once laying eyes on the person they are getting to know.

The only way they will ever meet face to face is if they decide to get engaged – agreeing to marry someone they have never actually seen. If previous series are anything to go by, it rarely goes smoothly.

A new trailer has teased plenty of tears(Image: Netflix)

Today (August 5), the full trailer was then released, delivering everything fans of the show have come to expect – tears, tension and what looks like at least one full-blown feud.

One contestant can be heard saying "she's nasty" while several others appear to have serious doubts about going through with their weddings as the big day approaches.

Many are also seen in tears throughout various stages on the programme, teasing what is sure to be a turbulent ride – and fans cannot wait.

One person commented: "I’m about to be stressed again", as another admitted: "i am hooked already." A third wrote: "These shows are so ridiculous but fun to watch." A fourth added: "I AM SO READYYYYYYYYY."

A fifth said: "Ahhhh wishing the best to the cast can’t wait to tune in!" One person stated: "I’m screammmmmmnnmnnninggggg!!!!" Another admitting it was the "best" series.

The first eight episodes can be streamed on August 19 which will see the hopeful singles navigating the pods and their engagements before meeting family and friends.

However, viewers will need to wait another week before episodes nine to 10 are released. They land on August 26 and will feature the weddings – something all fans will eagerly be awaiting.

An explosive reunion episode will also drop a week later on August 30, making 11 episodes this season. Netflix has teased: "With Emma and Matt Willis returning as hosts, this series will again follow the newly-engaged couples as they leave the bubble of the Pods to get to know one another properly in the real world.

"Viewers will see their relationships put to the test when they move in together, meet each other’s loved ones and navigate trust issues, difficult conversations and the pressures of everyday life. Who is strong enough to make it down the aisle? Who will say ‘I do’?

"With a life-changing decision to make, the stakes could not be higher for our couples. And as the experiment reaches its moment of truth, the question remains: is love really blind?"
