ATLUS has officially opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Metaphor: ReFantazio, giving fans of the acclaimed fantasy RPG another chance to experience its award-winning adventure. Alongside the pre-order announcement, ATLUS has also kicked off a new character trailer series, with the protagonist taking the spotlight in the first trailer.
Metaphor: ReFantazio quickly became one of 2024’s most celebrated games. The RPG earned an impressive 94 on Metacritic and took home awards for Best Role-Playing Game, Best Narrative, and Best Art Design at The Game Awards 2024. It also became ATLUS’ fastest-selling game ever, selling one million copies on its first day.
The game takes players into a mysterious fantasy world filled with unsettling secrets. As the kingdom faces the threat of extinction, players must confront their fears, overcome dangerous challenges, build alliances, and ultimately take control of their own destiny.
Nintendo Switch 2 players won’t have to wait too long to jump into the adventure. Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch on the new console on November 12, 2026.
The RPG is already available on Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. With its strong critical reception and impressive track record, Metaphor: ReFantazio looks like another major addition to the Switch 2’s growing RPG lineup.
