The "In the Name of the Father" quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker presents you with a tough choice: side with Father Florin, a problematic priest to say the least, or refuse to help him and his brethren. Although Father Florin seems to be a big Brencis fan, it may not be quite that simple…
Here's what happens if you agree or refuse to help Father Florin in The Blood of Dawnwalker's "In the Name of the Father" quest.

To obtain the "In the Name of the Father" quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker, you must visit the Svartrau Cathedral (east side of Svartrau City) during the day.
The first time you walk in, you'll find Father Florin baptizing a child. He'll come over and ask a few questions. No matter what else you answer, you must agree to let him take your confession, which requires one time segment.
You must confess to all sins, including wrath, envy, and gluttony. When Father Florin offers extra guidance, say, "tell me more." Only then will the "In the Name of the Father" quest begin. To continue, visit Father Florin's house on the west side of Svartrau City. Take the road north of the West Gate to find the front door, where a beggar will invite you in.
If you didn't answer correctly, or if you don't want to visit the cathedral, don't worry; you can still start "In the Name of the Father" by visiting Father Florin's hideout. It's the same location as mentioned above, but since you don't have a quest marker, you must find the front door here:
Use focus mode to spot it, then knock on the door and defeat the beggars (they won't listen to you). To complete "In the Name of the Father" and its related "A Hero's End" mission, you must do the following:
Feel free to explore every room in the house and get some extra info on Father Florin's activities. When you're ready, enter the southern room on the first floor and drop down through the hole. Keep going until you encounter Father Florin giving a sermon in the tunnels below.
No matter how you got there (by invitation or violence), Father Florin will ask for your help. You have three options:
Mind that these are only the short-term consequences. Scroll further down to see how an alliance with Father Florin affects your progression in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
No matter how you got it, use the ancient key on the northern door to enter the ancient ruins and start your trial. "In the Name of the Father" will end, and "A Hero's End" will begin.
Beware that the trial is fairly difficult, so you might want to wait until you're at least level 15 or so. You can use the shrine in the same room to upgrade your abilities and skip to your preferred time of day.
When you're ready, enter the ancient ruins and defeat the undead enemies on your path. It doesn't matter which path you take, but after you've defeated the Ancient Guardian in the first circular room, go left if you'd like to know what happened to Father Florin's previous "heroes."
Pass through the door with the red glow and defeat Rigoz, The Betrayed Hero to complete the trial. It's a regular wraith fight, only deadlier. When Rigoz moves away to heal themselves, be sure to interrupt the healing process by attacking them. After the battle, open the coffin at the end of the room to collect the Ancient Hero's Armour along with a golden brooch and the recipe for Potent Balm of Fortitude.
