A 32-year-old Woodslee woman was arrested Friday after officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 27, near Baseline Road, in Lakeshore.
The accused faces four charges, including operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, having a blood alcohol concentration over 80, driving with an open container of liquor and driving with cannabis readily available.
Also on Friday, officers investigating a traffic complaint stopped a 44-year-old Stoney Point woman on County Road 22, near West Puce Road, in Lakeshore.
The accused was charged with two impaired driving charges.
Both motorists received 90-day driver’s license suspension and had their vehicles impounded for seven days. They also must appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor to answer to the charges.
A 16-year-old Windsor youth was charged following a motor vehicle collision involving an electric scooter in LaSalle.
The incident occurred Thursday around 7:30 p.m., on Highway 3 and Todd Lane.
The youth faces a charge of proceeding through a red light and driving an electric scooter without a proper helmet.
To be legally operated, electric scooters must have a motor rated at 500 watts or less, go a maximum assisted speed of 24 km/h, have a handlebar for steering and a braking system, a horn or bell and at least one white light in front, one red light on the rear and reflective material on the sides.
They cannot have pedals, a seat, a basket or any modifications to the motor.
Riders must be 16 years of age, wear an approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet if under the age of 18 and always stand when riding.
