Brisbane Broncos captain Adam Reynolds has delivered a stinging farewell message to coach Michael Maguire as the fallout from his bombshell retirement has taken another ugly turn.
Earlier in the week, Reynolds officially called time on his decorated NRL playing career after failing to overcome a persistent calf injury, bringing an abrupt end to his stint at Red Hill.

But what should have been a celebration of his career has instead been overshadowed by a bitter saga involving Maguire.
And the latest development came after Brisbane’s 46-20 loss to the Melbourne Storm on Thursday night.
Addressing the club’s faithful, the veteran halfback thanked a number of people who had played a role in his career at the Broncos.
But there was one glaring omission: Michael Maguire.
“A big thank you to Dave, Karl and the board,” Reynolds said in his post-match address to Broncos fans after the club’s match on Thursday night.
“Kevvie Walters for giving me an opportunity to firstly come up here to Brisbane, it’s been a hell of a ride and I’ve loved every minute of it.
“To the departing players, thanks boys, your service to the club certainly won’t be forgotten.
“To all the other retirees in the NRL, I just want to wish you all the best, thank you for your service to the game. It’s been a wonderful journey for myself and I’m sure you have some great memories yourself.
“Lastly, to our members and fans, thank you.
“While it’s been a great five years for myself and the family, we’ve grown in love with the town and city and Brisbane is home. Without guys, it wouldn’t have been possible.
The omission of Maguire was particularly striking given the pair had shared one of the club’s most emotional moments in Broncos history just 12 months earlier when they won the premiership.
The latest twist comes after the embattled club came under fire for its farewell efforts on Thursday night, prompting an apology.
