The sense of calm Zendaya felt when paired with future husband Tom Holland at a chemistry reading for 2017's Spider-Man Homecoming ensured she'd be the MJ to his Peter Parker forever.
It seems pretty clear that Tom Holland has had Zendaya's heart since not long after they met doing a chemistry read for 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
"Sometimes people can get nervous around people," the Euphoria star explained during an April appearance on New York Times’ Modern Love podcast in April, "but there's a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew that this is my person, because I didn't."
And thanks to their penchant for mixing business with pleasure—in addition to playing the MJ to his Peter Parker in the most recent Spider-Man offerings, Zendaya also joined her groom in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, admitting to E! News in July, "Tom had the script at home before I got the call. So, I did a little peeky peek"—they'll rarely be worlds apart.
Plus, now that they've officially taken an oath, the pair hosting a U.K.-based celebration months after her stylist Law Roach confirmed they had privately gotten married, safe to say they plan to stick it out to the end.
"Our business can present very stressful situations," Holland recently detailed to Esquire, "and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time."
Not only does it make their performances that much better—"The truth is that she raises the game," he told E! News in July. "She's the type of actress where every scene is better when she's in it"—it makes navigating the tangled webs of the industry a bit easier.
"We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life," the 30-year-old explained to Esquire of the benefits of sharing similar job titles. "I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else."
It's a sentiment he'll no doubt repeat when he recognizes his bride's milestone 30th birthday Sept. 1.
"She’s my best friend," he stressed to Esquire, "and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her."
