A 65-year-old pedestrian died after being struck Aug. 15 by a vehicle on U.S. 1, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 15 just south of Mediterranean Boulevard South, FHP stated.
The pedestrian, a Stuart man, was crossing U.S. 1 "from east to west and walked into the southbound lanes of traffic," FHP stated.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old woman from Snellville, Ga., drove a 2016 Lexus south.
The Lexus struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The FHP reported they are working to notify the man's family.
No other information was immediately available.
