A fire next to a railway line caused major disruption to train services between Airdrie and Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.
All lines between Armadale and Bathgate were closed after a blaze broke out near the tracks.
National Rail said the incident affected services running between Airdrie and Haymarket, with trains facing cancellations, delays and alterations.
According to National Rail, disruption was expected until at least 7pm.

A statement said: "A fire near the railway between Armadale and Bathgate means that all lines are closed.

"As a result, trains running between Airdrie and Haymarket may be delayed or revised."
ScotRail warned that the fire may also have caused damage to signalling equipment.

The operator said: "Due to the fire, it is suspected there is some cable damage affecting the signalling system also but Network Rail won't be able to confirm the extent until the Fire Service declare it safe to approach the area."
