David Foster’s wife Katharine McPhee, 42, and his daughter Erin Foster, 43, spent some quality time together at an event for the Grammy winner’s charity The David Foster Foundation.
Everybody wants more Erin Foster and Katharine McPhee bonding moments.
The pair recently created some special family memories during a celebration for the Nobody Wants This creator’s dad David Foster, who married Katharine in 2019.
In a picture shared to her Instagram Stories Aug. 8, Erin, 43, posed with her stepmom Katharine, 42, for a selfie at the banquet for David’s charity The David Foster Foundation.
And while Erin wrote in the caption, “We had fun,” the duo weren’t the only Foster family members getting in on the action.
Indeed, Katharine and David’s 5-year-old son Rennie spent some quality time with Erin’s 2-year-old daughter Noa Mimi Tikhman, who she shares with husband Simon Tikhman. And Erin highlighted the family’s unique dynamic with the caption, “Noa partied hard with my lil brother.”
Of course, Erin and her sister Sara Foster are no strangers to the naysayers of the Foster’s unconventional family tree. In fact, Sara recently clapped back at critics of David and Katharine’s 35-year age gap.
“You know what? They're like 12 years in and they are happy,” she said on a June episode of Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari. “She's a fully consenting lady, you know what I mean? This is not like some child bride. She is in her 40s.”
Plus, the 90210 alum is completely aware of how Katharine aligns chronologically.
“I am older than her,” Sara, 45, added. “I look at her as a sister, but she is my stepmom.”
Still, Sara—mom to kids Valentina Evelyn, 15, and Josephine Lena, 10, with her ex Tommy Haas—emphasized that the American Idol alum has built an incredible bond with David’s older kids.
“She's really amazing,” she shared. “I have to tell you she really is. It's not easy coming into this family.”

One of them is Jaymes Foster, who welcomed son Parker with friend Clay Aiken in 2008.And while the American Idol runner-up previously told E! the teen used to sing "all the time," he noted Parker has since "chosen a different path" for his career. But if Parker ever wants to enter the music business, he can certainly turn to his famous family members for guidance."My son's got a lot of not only music, but Idol in his veins," Clay added. "His uncle is David Foster, the producer. So his aunt is Katharine McPhee."
