Windsor police have charged a 27-year-old man with impaired driving after a vehicle crashed into a home early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Armanda Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. following a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a residence.
Police said they arrived to find the vehicle on the home’s front lawn with its front bumper against the front steps. The driver was still inside.
Officers reported observing several signs of impairment, including glossy, red eyes, slurred speech, difficulty remaining awake and unsteadiness on his feet.
The driver was arrested and taken to Windsor police headquarters, where police allege a breath test registered more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit.
No injuries were reported in the collision. Police say the home sustained more than $10,000 in damages.
