A new crew of celebrities is gearing up to hit the ballroom floor for Season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
On Sept. 2, the full cast and their partners competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy were announced, with a slew of surprising names.
Returning as co-hosts are Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli as judges.
Months ahead of the cast reveal, “Traitors” and “Love Island UK” star Maura Higgins and “Summer House” star Ciara Miller were announced as part of the cast. Last month, it was also announced that Witney Carson, who’s pregnant with baby No. 3, is partnered with Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez.
Mark Ballas who is partnered with Higgins tells TODAY.com the upcoming season “should be a fun one. It seems like a good group.”
Also joining the cast this year as a pro is the winner of “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.” The spinoff series, which premiered on July 13, saw 12 dancers compete for a chance to become the next professional on Season 35 of “DWTS.”
The winner Adele Zaikman will make her debut as a pro with “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Connor Leavitt.
“We’re excited to see what she does on this coming season,” Ballas, who was a judge on “The Next Pro,” tells TODAY.com about Zaikman’s debut. “Her skill set is undeniable. So now she’s gonna have to take that journey … transitioning from the competition world into the television world. But I believe she can get there.”
