Pearl Abyss in its latest earnings report revealed they are planning to release a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Crimson Desert in the first half of 2027.
"In the case of Switch 2, the game has reached a playable baseline, and we are currently conducting technical reviews regarding performance optimization and quality standard compliance, targeting a release in the first half of next year," reads the earnings report.
The report added, "In the case of Switch 2, while optimization is required, the game is currently playable at a foundational level, and technical evaluations are underway to ensure performance optimization and compliance with our quality standards. While it is difficult to confirm a definitive launch schedule at this time, we are working toward a release targeted for the first half of 2027. We will provide updates through our official channels once details are finalized."
Crimson Desert released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in March 2026.

I eagerly await to see how this turns out. I think we can gleem a bit of its potential by looking at the Series S version. The hardest part about this has to be optomizing for the weaker CPU. I wonder if this will be a 1:1 scale of the other versions (enemy and NPC count) or if the Seitch 2 version will be a bespoke version.
