Developer Pocketpair announced the multiplayer open-world survival action game, Craftopia, will leave Early Access and launch in 1.0 for the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in 2027.

The Xbox One version will not release in 1.0 due to poor performance.

Craftopia first released in Early Access for PC in September 202, followed by the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in July 2021.

Craftopia began as a project made by a small group of friends who wanted to create their dream game.

At the time, Pocketpair itself was still a very small company. A lot has changed since then. The studio has grown considerably, we have released new games, and our day-to-day development environment looks very different from when Craftopia first entered development.

One thing that hasn’t changed, however, is how much Craftopia means to the team.

We love Craftopia. Although Pocketpair has since grown into a company working on multiple projects, we must never forget where we started: as a small group of friends who simply wanted to make fun games.

Craftopia was born from that spirit, and we’d like to believe that the culture formed during its development helped shape Pocketpair into the company it is today.

We also understand that our communication surrounding the game has not always been good enough. In particular, since the release of Palworld, some Craftopia players have understandably felt that the game was receiving less attention.

Behind the scenes, the Craftopia team has continued working tirelessly on the game. In fact, the growth and success Pocketpair has experienced in recent years has allowed us to dedicate more resources toward Craftopia and tackle a number of longstanding technical issues that had previously been extremely difficult to resolve.

We are enormously grateful to everyone who continued supporting the game throughout that process.

Craftopia has changed dramatically over the course of Early Access.

The game has added a huge amount of content over the years, and as we approach version 1.0, our priority is not simply adding as much new content as possible.

Instead, much of our focus is on cleaning up and refining the existing experience, addressing outstanding issues, and making Craftopia as enjoyable and polished as possible for its full release.
