A conman stole who money from an elderly woman with dementia amid a bogus window cleaning scam was jailed today for 16 months.
Joseph Duddy, 64, initially targeted Rosemary Love, 77, at her flat in Glasgow's Dowanhill between September and November 2025.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how Duddy followed Miss Love to the bank and waited outside for her.
Miss Love asked for money to pay a "work man" but was denied as Duddy did not give her an invoice at the time.
On another day, Duddy spoke to Miss Love's friend who had come to visit her and stated that he would be doing her windows.
Duddy then spoke to her neighbours and offered to do theirs for a cheaper price.
Later that day, Miss Love was heard by a witness telling Duddy that she had "already gave the money."
The witness confronted Duddy who appeared drunk at the time.

The witness said: "Why are you here, do one, don't come back" to which Duddy replied: "F*** off before he left.
Miss Love was stated to be "visibly shaken and upset" at the time.
On October 24 neighbours heard Duddy knocking on Miss Love's door again.
