There's an open callout for community spaces that want to air the re-broadcast for the show's 10th anniversary
CBC Music has put out an open call for venues, bars and community spaces that want to stream the 10th anniversary re-broadcast of The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration.
Earlier this year, the broadcaster announced it would commemorate 10 years since the Hip's final performance by streaming the broadcast once again. Now, it's shared a Google Form where interested parties across Canada can apply to host public screenings.
As per the form, both CBC and the Hip are dedicated to making the stream available for free and without advertising. As such, interested venues cannot charge an entry fee unless proceeds are donated towards a registered charity, and third-party sponsors are prohibited.
No official list of venues has been shared as of time of publication. If you or your business is interested in hosting a watch party, apply and see the list of conditions here.
