Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons have launched their loyalty program partnership.

As announced last September, Canadians who are members of both Triangle Rewards and Tim Rewards can link their accounts to earn Canadian Tire Money on eligible Tims purchases in addition to the Tims Rewards points you already earn from ordering at Tims.

To link your account, visit triangle.com/timsrewards and click Link Accounts. You’ll then be prompted to log in or sign up for both rewards programs. Users can follow the steps as prompted to complete the process.

From there, those with linked accounts can earn up to five per cent in Canadian Tire Money on eligible Tims purchases when they scan their Tims Rewards card or place an order through the app. Two per cent will be earned on eligible purchases (pre-tax), an additional two per cent will be given when paying with a Triangle credit card and a further one per cent will be granted on when using a Triangle credit card for Scan & Pay in the Tims app.

Canadian Tire Money can be used at Canadian Tire locations, as well as affiliated brands like Party City, SportChek, Mark’s and Pro Hockey Life. Tims Rewards, naturally, are only usable at Tim Hortons. Triangle Rewards and Tim Rewards have around 12 million and 8 million members, respectively.

The Tim Hortons app is available on Android and iOS.
