Canada added three more medals to its haul at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań, with Sophia Jensen and Brianna Hennessy each claiming their second medal of the competition and the women's C4 crew securing bronze.
Jensen raced to silver in the women's C1 200m, adding a second podium finish to the gold she captured earlier in the championships. Jensen crossed the line in 44.90 seconds, just 0.50 seconds behind Ukraine’s Liudmyla Luzan, who won gold in 44.40. American Nevin Harrison claimed bronze in 45.04.
Hennessy also returned to the podium, winning silver in the women's VL2 200m, finishing in 1:00.82. Great Britain's Emma Wiggs won gold in 58.76, while Anastasia Miasnikova took bronze in 1:02.31. Following her bronze earlier in the competition, the Canadian paracanoe athlete leaves Poznań with two medals from two races.
Canada’s women’s C4 crew of Katie Vincent, Zoe Wojtyk, Sloan MacKenzie and Elizabeth Desrosiers-McArthur added another medal to the Canadian haul, winning bronze in the C4 500m in 1:48.17. China claimed gold, while Hungary took silver.
