Bunnie XO shared that she “wasn’t eating” and lost 20 pounds in the aftermath of husband Jelly Roll filing for divorce.

The “Dumb Blonde” podcaster and bestselling author opened up on the Sept. 3 episode of Jenna Bush Hager’s “Open Book” podcast about how she struggled when her husband of nearly 10 years filed for divorce on May 18, according to court records from Williamson County, Tennessee.

“There was moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs,” she said. “Because I wasn’t eating. I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds. Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”

Jelly Roll, a Grammy-winning country singer whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce two months before what would’ve been the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to the court filing.

He and Bunnie XO each spoke out separately about the divorce filing.

“I don’t want people to think I’m just out here like just acting like she doesn’t hurt,” she told Jenna. “Yeah, it hurt. And I talked about it, and I let viewers in.”

On the June 18 episode of her “Dumb Blonde Podcast,” Bunnie XO confirmed the split. She also said it was “not mutual” and not her choice to break up.

Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, has since deleted that episode of her podcast.

“I didn’t want to live in it,” she told Jenna. “You guys got your headlines, you guys got your clips.”

She noted how snippets of her podcast were all over social media for anyone wanting to see her talking about her divorce, but she didn’t want to relive the episode.

“I just didn’t want to live in it, and I don’t feel like I had to,” she said. “I said what I needed to say, I made a s—load of money off of it. If I was going to do it for money, I would’ve left it up. Every time I went to my YouTube, I didn’t want to see that.

“And also I don’t want to be the freakin’ poster child for divorce,” she continued. “There’s nothing hot about that. It’s a very devastating situation anybody has to go through. Families get broken up, hearts get broken. It’s time to move on.”

Bunnie XO spoke on TODAY Aug. 20 about living the single life again and trying to move forward.

“And I just hope my journey can show people, ‘Hey, you know what, no matter how hard the situation you’re going through, you’re going get through that, you’re going to rise up, and you’re going to be an even better version of yourself,” she told Jenna and Sheinelle Jones.

Once she shared her side of the breakup on her podcast, she was ready to look forward and not back.
