Starbucks has officially declared that autumn is here, with the return of its iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte and two brand-new seasonal drinks.
The coffee giant is bringing back its much-loved Pumpkin Spice range, with Starbucks Rewards members getting first access from Thursday, August 27.
The wider autumn menu, including seasonal food and merchandise, will then roll out nationwide from September 3.
The return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) has become something of an unofficial signal that autumn has arrived.
First launched in 2003, the seasonal favourite combines Starbucks' signature Pumpkin Spice sauce with steamed milk, whipped cream and a blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves.
And this year, there are two completely new drinks joining the autumn line-up.
The Maple Pecan Macchiato, available hot or iced, combines Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast with toasted pecan and warming maple flavours.
Meanwhile, the Iced Apple Crumble Matcha Latte mixes matcha with baked apple flavours and is topped with apple-flavoured cream cold foam and a buttery crumble topping.
Starbucks is also bringing back the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato, Iced Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.
Louise Direito, category, innovation and development director at Starbucks EMEA, said: “For many of our customers, the return of Pumpkin Spice Latte has become a marker that autumn has arrived, and we continue to see incredible enthusiasm for the flavours and rituals of the season.
“We’re excited to bring Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato back for a second year. At the same time, our customers tastes continue to evolve.
“The new Iced Apple Crumble Matcha Latte is our first standalone autumn matcha drink, bringing together the comfort of a classic autumn flavour with a category our customers increasingly enjoy year-round."
