A homecoming awaits Arsenal this weekend as they taken on Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup.

The Gunners have not played a fixture since at the Emirates Stadium since being crowned Premier League champions in May, though that will change as a special moment between players, management and supporters is expected.

Mikel Arteta, though, will be hopeful of a much improved performance from his side following the 3-1 loss to Real Betis in their second official pre-season fixture of the summer.

The latest edition of the Emirates Cup, a pre-season tournament, will continue in its one-match format as Arsenal look to win the trophy for a fifth straight year.

Dortmund, however, should provide a difficult test – even if their pre-season preparations has seen them lose twice in four matches against Fortuna and Cerezo Osaka.

Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The match will take place at the Emirates Stadium.

TV channel and live stream: In the UK, the game will be shown for free via Arsenal’s YouTube channel.

Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert analysis from Matt Verri at the ground.

Bruno Guimaraes is set to miss out on an Arsenal debut as his ÂŁ75million move from Newcastle has not yet been finalised.

The Brazilian’s potential involvement was already in doubt anyway as he only reported to training with the Magpies on Monday after being afforded a three-week post-World Cup break.
